Robinsons Island
What to Expect:
The Robinsons Island Trail System is located in the National Park near Brackley Beach. It is a 5 km multi-use beginner to intermediate family-friendly trail. It is open to bikers and hikers with a pump track located next to the trail entrance. Designed as a ‘stacked loop’ there is a shorter and longer option. It features 11 technical trail challenges located in spurs that break off of the main trail. Those who dare to test their skills on the ramps and teeter-totters need not shy away, just skip the branches and stick to the main trail for a beautiful scenic cycling adventure. There are no washroom on-site and the closest one is at Brackley Beach. The trail is maintained from mid-May until mid-October. Keep an eye out for the red chairs!
For
This is a great trail for young children and is family friendly. The surface is rolled stone dust and is very flat but with many turns. The technical trail challenges are a nice addition. Be mindful of walker’s which are often going in the opposite direction.
It is fun to ride the technical trail challenges. Due to the fact, walker’s are on it too your speed can’t be too fast.
There are no ‘expert’ sections but great to go with someone who is learning to mountain bike.
